Awareness programme on education held

TEZPUR, July 13: The Bodo Sahitya Sabha in association with its Tezpur district committee organized a two-day awareness programme on education in remote areas of Sonitpur district on July 11 and 12, a press release said on Monday.

Awareness meetings were held at different places on both the days, as the organizers also visited several Bodo medium schools, covered by EGS scheme of the Union government.

Addressing the participants in a meeting, general secretary of Bodo Sahitya Sabha, Kamala Kanta Mushahary appealed the people to maintain peace and harmony. He also asked them not to get misled by rumours being spread by miscreants.

The two-day programme was attended by many dignitaries of Bodo Sahitya Sabha, ABSU and government officials.
