Awareness programme on sexual harassment held

TINSUKIA, November 8: The Cell for Women Studies and Development (CWSD) of Tinsukia College under the aegis of its GSCASH (General Sensitization Committee against Sexual Harassment) unit, organized an awareness programme at lini Kanta Dahutia Junior College Tinsukia on Tuesday.  The teacher team comprised of Dr Rubi Baruah, Prof Anja Goswami, Prof Indira Baruah, Dr Deepika Bhattacharjee and Dr Monika Das. Attended by a large number of students, the members of GSCASH highlighted all relevant points pertaining to sexual harassment, including its pel and legal aspects. The students, including girls, interacted with the team which was very encouraging and effective. Earlier, Manoj Gogoi, Vice-Principal of the college, elaborated the significance of holding such type of awareness programmes, particularly among college students.
