AXX centery celebrated in befitting manner in Mangaldai

MANGALDAI, Dec 27: The iugural function of the centery celebration of Axam Xahitya Xabha (AXX) was organized here with a two-day long programme under the aegis of Mangaldai Xahitya Xabha - a branch unit of the premier literary body.

To mark the celebration, on Tuesday morning, 100 flags of AXX were unfurled at the same time by prominent citizens of the locality, including Additiol Deputy Commissioners of Darrang Bidyut Bikash Bhagawati and rrayan th, Additiol Superintendent of Police ( HQ) Darrang Suman Chakraborty , Executive Officer, Mangaldai Municipal Board, Antara Gogoi , senior academician Dr Biren Deka, Principal, Mangaldai Town Girls’ HS School, Amiya Dutta, office bearers of Mangaldai Xahitya Xabha, Dr Mrinmoy th, Chandra Shekhar Roy and Mayukh Goswami, among others.

Earlier, Mril Rsjbongshi , secretary of Mangaldai Xahitya Xabha, outlined the objective. This was followed by performance of the Asom Sangeet  O mor apor desh  and song of the Sahitya Sabha Siro senehi mor bhasha jani  by all the people present. It also featured smriti tarpan and colorful cultural function. Earlier, on Monday hoisting of organizatiol flag by its president Dr Mrinmoy th, offering floral tribute to office bearers and general meeting of the local literary body marked the celebration of the opening day.
