AXX centery celebration in Margherita

MARGHERITA, Dec 27: The iugural function of the centery celebration of Axam Xahitya Xabha (AXX) was held at Margherita subdivision by Margherita Xakha Xahitya Xabha, Makumkilla Xakha Xahitya Xabha, Baragolai Xakha Xahitya Xabha, Jagun Xakha Xahitya Xabha, Pengree Xakha Xahitya Xabha and Buri Dehing Xakha Xahitya Xabha.

The two-day programme began on Monday with smriti tarpan of founder president of AXX, Padmath Gohainbaruah by Krish Prasad Singh, former president of Margherita Xakha Xahitya Xabha, followed by events for school children such as drawing competition, creative dance, Bhupendra Sangeet competition, spot poetry competition and contemporary speech competition.

The second day’s programme began with smriti tarpan by Margherita MLA Bhaskar Sharma which was followed by hoisting of AXX flags by distinguished persons of Margherita. Again, a cultural programme was followed by interactive session and open session where Dr Ramen Hazarika, senior Professor of Margherita College was present as the chief guest and Barun Bora, literary pensioner of Margherita and Gokul Sharma Dehinguria, poet of Margherita were present as invited guests. A souvenir was also released by Dr Ranjit Dutta, Mager of Asansol Coal Mining Kolkata.
