Ban on commercial use of domestic cylinder

SHILLONG, August 24: The East Garo Hills district administration had detected the commercial use of 14.2 Kg illegal domestic LPG cylinders in some of the tea stalls and fast-food restaurants in the district violating the provisions of the Meghalaya Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Regulation for Sale and Distribution) Order, 1988. The deputy commissioner has warned that any non-compliance to the directive if detected would attract initiation of action under provisions of the Meghalaya Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Regulations of Sale and distribution) Order, 1988 and the Essential Commodities Act, 1955.
