Bangladeshi national arrested in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The Garchuk police arrested one Mukta Begum (19), a Bangladeshi national from Rupnath Brahma Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT) on Monday allegedly for entering India without valid documents.

According to a police source, Mukta confessed during the interrogation that she entered India via West Bengal one month before. She was returning from Mumbai and arrived at Guwahati Railway Station on Monday. After getting off at Guwahati Railway Station, she visited ISBT to catch a Dhaka bound bus from where she was arrested.

Meanwhile, she has been forwarded to judicial custody.
