Barak BJP leaders on campaign trail in Lower Assam

 SILCHAR, April 7: After sweating out during the poll campaign across Barak Valley, BJP leaders are now on campaign trail in Brahmaputra Valley to garner support for the party candidates contesting in the minority domited areas of Assam. Among the leaders who have left for campaign are the 15 candidates who contested from all the assembly constituencies of Barak Valley. Apart from the candidates, frontline party leaders who include Dr. Rajdeep Roy, state general secretary, and Awadhesh Singh, state spokesperson.

 Awadhesh Singh said over telephone from Dhubri that after reaching there, he has been holding meet with the local leaders and workers, besides addressing public meetings. Dr. Rajdeep Roy who is in Goalpara has been actively busy in looking after the organization and discussing the poll strategy. Shipra Goon, BJP Mahila Morcha leader, has reached Guwahati today from there she will move to the area as directed by the party headquarters.

 Kaushik Rai, Cachar district president, is to campaign in the West Guwahati. Dilip Kumar Paul, sitting MLA Silchar, is in Barpeta and will move to other constituencies as programmed. The areas to be covered by the BJP leaders are Dhubri, Bongaigaon, Goalpara, Barpeta, lbari, Kamrup Rural, Kamrup Metro, gaon, Morigaon and Bodo region. But, their epicenter of campaign will be the minority domited areas.
