BARD organizes fincial literacy awareness programme

GAURISAGAR, DECEMBER 14: tiol Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (BARD) organized a day-long Fincial Literacy Awareness Programme (FLAP), in association with Demow Development Block, on Tuesday at the conference hall of Demow Development Block in Sivasagar district.  

The dignitaries who attended the  programmes were Mon Gogoi, ADC, Sivasagar and Circle Officer, Demow, Lakheswar Mahanta, DDM BARD, Sivasagar and Charaideo district, A Saikia, BDO, Demow Dev Block, M K Sethy, LDM, Sivasagar and Charaideo district, S N Borah, Senior Mager, UCO Bank, Sivasagar, Tea Garden  Mager of various tea gardens of  Demow Circle, Secretary/President of G.P. of Demow Circle, president, Demow  Anchalik Panchyat, bank official of Demow Circle, Secretary/President of  Tea Garden Union of Demow Circle and Block Programme Mager of Demow Development Block.

Addressing the gathering, Mon Gogoi, ADC, Sivasagar highlighted the need and importance of fincial inclusion and also opening of bank account in tea garden area within the time limit fixed by the government. He has also appealed to the garden magers concerned and also bankers to expedite the process of enrolment of bank account in garden area at the earliest. Lakheswar Mahanta highlighted the various social security schemes of the Government of India and urged the farming community to get the benefit of these schemes. Further, he also highlighted the various beneficial programmes of BARD and also urged upon the farmer community to avail the benefit of the schemes. More than hundred farmers and SGH/JLG members took part in the programme.
