Baska Press Club to celebrate silver jubilee

LBARI, Jan 19: Baska Press Club, Barama, will celebrate its silver jubilee with a two-day programme from January 22 to January 23. The various programmes chalked out for the occasion include flag hoisting, cultural procession, tree plantation, lighting of lamp, smriti tarpan, song competition, kabi sanmilan, open session and cultural night. The cultural procession to be held on the occasion will be iugurated by Mahadanda Hazarika, Baksa Deputy Commissioner. The open session will be held under the president ship of Dilip Kumar Haloi, advisor of Baska Press Club, Barama. Ramesh Chandra Das, chairman of the silver jubilee celebration committee will iugurate the function. BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary will attend the open session as chief guest.
