BAYM holds debating competition

DEMOW, Dec 24: Under the patroge of Brihattar Asomiya Yuba Mancha (BAYM) Demow Town Committee and in association with the people of Demow, in memory of Hema Dowerah, a debate competition was organized in the auditorium of Demow Higher Secondary School on Saturday. The programme started with plantation of saplings by Moni Mohan Singha, OC of Demow Police Station. The flag of Brihattar Asomiya Yuba Mancha (BAYM), Demow Town Committee was hoisted by Jadumoni Kalita, president of BAYM Demow Town Committee. The smriti tarpan was offered by Anshuman Barua, secretary of BAYM Demow Town Committee. The debate competition was iugurated by Dr. Jitu Saikia, Head of the English Department in Gargaon College. The topic of the debate was ‘Foreigners issue is the burning problem of the Modern Assam’.
