BAYM stages protest in Demow

DEMOW, July 19: The activists of Brihattar Asomiya Yuba Mancha (BAYM), Sivasagar District Committee staged a two-hour demonstration near the historic Rajmao Lake on Tuesday.

Under the leadership of Pankaj Bhattacharjee, president and Jadab Gogoi, secretary of Brihattar Asomiya Yuba Mancha (BAYM), Sivasagar District Committee, a memorandum was submitted to Deputy Commissioner of Sivasagar District through the Demow Circle Officer where they demanded that the historic Rajmao Lake, which is under Thowra constituency, should be excluded from the four-lane construction project.

The historic Rajmao Lake has come under the four-lane construction project and BAYM, Sivasagar District Committee, said proper steps should be taken in this matter.
