Bharat bandh successful in Dibrugarh

Dibrugarh: The Bharat bandh called on Saturday to mourn the demise of the CRPF personnel in the Pulwama terrorist attack, was successful in Dibrugarh.

All the important commercial establishments, including the ones in New Market, HS Road, RKB Path and Thanacharali, kept their shutters down in complete solidarity with the cause. All financial institutions, both public and private, also gave their whole-hearted support to the bandh.

However, means of transport like auto rickshaws and wingers continued to ply normally. In a major reflection of communal harmony and union of interests, people of all major religions took to the streets to condemn the obnoxious attacks, with anti-Pakistan slogans renting the air.
