Both the incidents were reported on the same day.

Initial investigation suggests that the victim may have been hacked to death and later burnt to avoid identification. We have already picked up two persons for interrogation and our investigation is on. The murder might be as a result of a brawl between the deceased and the other two regarding control of illegal forest land for cultivation. There is as such no involvement of any ga miscreants in the incident.”

As reported, Munin was drunk and allegedly started misbehaving with Dimbeshwar Bora’s daughter-in-law and when such unwarranted moves were prevented, Munin in a fit of rage shot the victim, injuring his left hand. After prelimiry medical supervision at Borholla Health Centre, he was later shifted to JMCH for further treatment.

OC Panikheti Apurba Kalita said, “Munin Sensua is a noted crimil with at least three warrants already issued in his me under sections like 366 (kidpping) and 325 IPC and was the mastermind of the Borholla petrol pump robbery case. We have so far tried our level best to apprehend him but still he mages to give us a slip owing to his frequent crossover to galand. Even in his village though the people know about his frequent visits, yet they fail to inform us as they fear him. But very soon Munin will be in our trap.”
