Bike lifters held in Golaghat

GOLAGHAT, November 7: Golaghat police arrested two bike lifters from Bengekhowa area of Golaghat town on Saturday. Police sources said that two bike lifters were arrested while they were trying to steal a Apache bike from Golaghat town. The thieves were identified as Abbas Ali and Rubul Das. The Apache bike without registration number is owned by a policeman of Reserve Police. The bike was picked up in front of the bike owner. Getting information, police officials followed the bike. At Bengekhowa area, police sigled to stop them. Later the thieves left the bike and tried to flee. Police bbed them and opened fire in the air. Police are interrogating them for more information.
