Birth anniversaries of Tagore and Nazrul to be observed

Silchar, July 4: Chotto Prochesta, an NGO which has been working relentless towards the uplift of humankind, is all set to organize a 3 day gala event to commemorate the birth anniversaries of Nobel Laureate poet Kabiguru Rabindranath Tagore and the revolutionary poet Bidrohi Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam. The NGO has geared up for organizing the function which has been scheduled to start from July 9 at 9.30 in the morning at Netaji Vidya Bhawan Girls’ Higher Secondary School, situated at Rangirkhari of this town.

Participants have been categorized according to their classes. Students from Class I to Class III, Class IV to Class VII, Class VIII to Class X and Class XI to graduates have been categorized in Groups ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’ and ‘D’. Participants can enroll their names in the competitions which comprise Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrul Geeti, Rabindra Nritya, Nazrul Nritya and Rabindra recitation and Nazrul recitation. Singing competition will be held on July 9, recitation and dance competitions on July 10. Each of the participants will be given a certificate of appreciation. Entry fees have been fixed at Rs.50. There will be no entry fees for participants belonging to poor and underprivileged class.
