Biswajit Pegu New Kamrup (Metro) Deputy Commissioner (DC)

GUWAHATI: Biswajit Pegu has taken charge as the new Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kamrup (Metro) on Tuesday. A 2008 batch IAS, he was previously serving as the DC of Nagaon. Biswajit Pegu has been appointed as Kamrup (Metro) DC on January 19, 2019, after the Assam government made major changes in its state bureaucracy with the issue of an order for transfer and posting of 38 bureaucrats in the state. “Kamrup (M) is both a dream and a challenge that I have undertaken and I will do my best to solve the issues of concern”, Pegu commented.
