Biswanath prepares for Independence Day celebrations

Biswanath Chariali: Along with the rest of the country, Biswanath district administration is also making brisk preparations to celebrate the 72nd Independence Day with a day-long programme.

The programmes include hoisting of the tricolour, presentation of patriotic songs by SDIPRO, floral tributes to national heroes, presentation of guard of honour, plantation, distribution of food items in hospitals and district jail, felicitation and holding of drawing and essay competitions among the students. Meanwhile, security has been tightened in and around Biswanath Chariali and other parts of the district.
