ITANAGAR: The lotus bloomed in every nook and corner of India, including Arunachal Pradesh, to create history due to dedicated works of the BJP with a commitment since 1951 of Jan Sangha days, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein said, and attributed the success to transparent policies and corruption-free implementation without any discrimination.

Quoting former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee that lotus (symbol of the BJP) will bloom even in hills, Mein said that the Congress ruled India for 10 decades but the progress made by PM Narendra Modi-led government during last five years and Pema Khandu Government in Arunachal for over two years won hearts of the masses as seen by the election results.

“The BJP led by PM Modi and president Saha with TsuNamo wave turned party’s ‘Congress-mukt Bharat’ slogan into a reality as indicated by the results of country, including Arunachal,” he said.

“The huge victory margins in Namsai, Lekang and Chowkham constituencies of Namsai district with state’s record margin of 10,755 votes by Chou Zingnu Namchoom from Namsai seat are conclusive evidence besides third highest margin percentage in India by Lok Sabha member Kiren Rijiju,” Mein said, adding that is why PM Modi referred to Arunachal results in his public address.

Despite the ‘Garbi Hatao’ slogan of the Congress that failed to lift off, the BJP through numerous central flagship schemes succeeded in removing poverty to a great extent while results of strategies for “doubling farmers’ income by 2022” adopted in 2018 are visible through its actions, Mein said with conviction.

“Khandu will continue to be the Chief Minister, and the dates for the election of BJP legislator party leader and swearing-in ceremony will be decided on his return from Delhi,” Chowna Mein said responding to a question.
