Bobbeeta Sharma’s Win Is Certain: Former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi

GUWAHATI: On the last day of poll campaign, the Congress took out a bike rally and a rally at Chhaygaon under Gauhati Lok Sabha constituency on Sunday in the presence of Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot.

The rally began from Manabendra Sarma complex at Dispur to Jalukbari via GS Road and back to conclude it at Gitanagar. Attending the flagging off the rally, former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi said that the Congress is sure to win the Gauhati Lok Sabha seat. “Bobbeeta Sharma is a qualified candidate, and her win is certain,” Gogoi said.

APCC (Assam Pradesh Congress Committee) president Ripun Bora, senior leader Rakibul Hussain and others were present on the occasion. Bobbeeta Sharma said: “My priority is on development of Guwahati. In the past five years, the BJP-led government made a number of promises, but kept none of them.”

Gauhati has as many as 17 candidates even as the fight is set to be straight between the BJP and the Congress.
