Boko veteriry hospital in pitiable condition
FROM A CORRESPONDENT
Boko, May 13: Negligence of the maintanence of the veteriry hospital in Boko has led to the grim state. Apart from irregular presence of veteriry doctor, the hospitals also lack basic infrastructure and medicines. In an area where a large number of people are dependent on cattle for their livelihood, this pathetic condition of the veteriry hospital explains the callous attitude of the government. Sources said Jo Choudhury, the in-charge of Boko Veteriry Hospital is regularly irregular in her duties. Recently a poor farmer of the area Dhiren Mali faced untold miseries when he did not find doctor in the veteriry hospital for the treatment of one ailing cow. “Choudhury does not stay here. She only comes sometimes from Khapara in Guwahati. But she most often remain absent in the hospital,” alleged a local.
