Bomb found

FROM OUR SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT

IMPHAL, March 14: One rusted bomb was found by some labourers who were digging the ground within the engineering cell of 107 Bn Terriorial Army complex at Leimakhing military camp in Imphal west district.  It is said that it may be one of the powerful bombs which were dropped in the Imphal areas which were the main theatre of the world war II. It may be recalled that the Indian tiol Army of the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose had resisted the British army in and around Imphal and went up to Kohima in galand. Soon after finding the old bomb  experts were summoned. It was safely removed to a paddy field for carrying out a controlled implosion. The labourers are cautioned since there may be other bombs scattered nearby.
