ITANAGAR: The long-awaited demand for ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme Polyclinic by the veterans will be inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Defence Dr Subhash Ramrao Bhamre on Tuesday at Tenga and Tawang.

These polyclinics which are exclusively for the ex-servicemen will benefit around 600 veterans and their dependents of West Kameng and Tawang districts of Arunachal Pradesh, a defence communiqué informed here on Monday.

High-quality medical care will now be available at the door steps of the veterans, besides opening up opportunities for the veterans to access specialist medical care at Military Hospitals and super speciality healthcare over a range of 15- 20 empanelled hospitals in Arunachal and neighbouring States.

Expenses incurred during the transfer of patients and treatment would be fully covered under this scheme for the veterans and also their families, the communiqué added.
