Bookie cum gambler of IPL nabbed from Bongaigaon

Bongaigaon, May 4 : Following information Bongaigaon police had received a massive success against the gambling of IPL while they became able to nab two bookie cum gambler of IPL today . Here the nabbed bookies are Tinku Mazumdar (36) Son of Gobinda Mazumdar, a resident of Ward No-2 of Bongaigaon town and Biplab Seal alias Biki (28), son of Subodh Seal a resident of Lichutola area of Ward No-1 of Bongaigaon town. Both they had been arrested by police today from their house. Total rupees 26,650/- and four mobile phone had been recovered from them.

Talking to press Bijit Dadhora, OC, Bongaigaon PS said that these two are not the first to arrest by Bongaigaon police in this IPL season. “Before this, we nabbed another bookie namely Gurupada Das. These boys uses some mobile apps to conduct the gambling. We came to know that few apps namely “Life line”, “Toota Line” are such apps which are used to conduct the game,” he said.

“These groups are different types.  They are operating in Bongaiaon district and its neighboring region only. We suspect that there may be few more bookies in Bongaigaon whom we shall be able to nab very shortly,” he said.
