Biswanath Chariali: Two books entitled Radha, a Nepali story collection translated from Assamese and Sukhar eti Pal Bichari, a verse, translated and composed by Chandra Luitel and Rubi Saikia Das, respectively, were released on Friday at a function held at Sahitya Sabha Bhawan in Biswanath Chariali under the aegis of Nilu Prakashan, a local literary organization with Kamal Chandra Bhuyan, president of Biswanath Chariali Sahitya Sabha, in the chair.

The books were released by educationist Hari Luitel and veteran scribe and poet Pradeep Kumar Sharma. Addressing the gathering, Pradeep Kumar Sharma said that poetry is the outcome of the mixture of imagination and realization. Hari Luitel expressed the hope that the released book would be able to harmonize both Assamese and Nepali societies.

Taking part as the chief guest in the programme, Rakesh Roshan, Superintendent of Police of Biswanath district, commented that the Assamese literature gives much importance upon non violence which is reflected in the greater Assamese society and it is free from violent activities in comparison to others. The programme was also attended by Indra Prasad Saikia, Hiranya Hazarika, Hiren Borah, Anjan Borah, Ajit Hazarika, Leela Upadhyay and others.
