Border Roads Organisation (BRO) Director General to tour Arunachal Pradesh

Itanagar: Director General of Border Roads Organisation (BRO) Lt Gen Harpal Singh will be on a two-day tour to Arunachal Pradesh from Tuesday to inspect operational critical roads in Taksing and Tama Chung Chung–Bidak sector of Upper Suabansiri district under Project Arunanak.

The DG, to be accompanied by Project Arunanak Chief Engineer Brig R S Rawal, would fly to the site along Indo-China border for inspection, BRO sources informed here on Monday.

The BRO made road to Tama Chung Chung sector operational with opening of a bridge on May 9 this year.

The DG is also scheduled to call on Governor Brig (Retd) Dr B D Mishra and Chief Minister Pema Khandu to hold discussion on various strategic roads in the state and how to expedite the process of execution, the sources added.
