Border Security Force holds Intelligence Agency Meet in Shillong

SHILLONG: The 46th Directional Level Lead Intelligence Agency Meeting organized by Border Security Force on 11th December 2018 at Conference Hall, Frontier HQ BSF Umpling Camp. BSF is nominated as Lead Intelligence Agency(LIA) by the Group of Ministers(GOM), Govt of India on 22th Oct’2002.

This force has also shown its Intelligence worth in Eastern Region in area along Indo-Bangladesh border in the Meghalaya state with the help of other Central/State Government Intelligence Agencies. Meghalaya Frontier, manned the 444 kms International Border with Bangladesh.

L Mohanti, IPS, IG BSF Meghalaya Frontier chaired the meeting. Delegates from various agencies attended the meeting and exchanged Intelligence inputs. They also provided feedback on the inputs that shared during last 45th LIA Meeting held at Frontier HQ Meghalaya on 19th June’2018.

U K Nayal, Secretary of LIA Meghalaya welcomed the delegates and discussed some important issues related to Counter Intelligence, other issues and apprised all participating delegates about the likely impact of forthcoming Bangladesh Election on border domination.
