Border Security Force organizes Iftar in Umpling synchronizing with the holy month of Ramadan

SHILLONG: The Border Security Force (BSF), Meghalaya Frontier, organized 'Iftar' in the Umpling BSF Camp, here on Saturday synchronizing with the holy month of Ramadan. Setting an example of communal harmony by hosting the Iftar, the BSF has sent the message that the Force is not only the sentinel of the International Border but also spreads the sense of unity and has pride in the composite culture of the country. On this pious occasion, senior BSF officers and other members from different religious lines gathered at the Gym Hall, BSF Frontier Headquarter Umpling Camp. They also offered prayers before Iftar, stated a release.

Kuldeep Saini, Inspector General BSF Meghalaya Frontier also participated on the above occasion. He urged everyone to spread peace, love and harmony during this holy month. He further stated that "the function is a step towards uniting different communities". He also conveyed his best wishes to all troops and their families for the forthcoming 'Eid-ul-Fitr'.
