BPF to Field Candidates in Kokrajhar and Mangaldai: Hagrama Mohilary

KOKRAJHAR: The president of Bodoland People’s Front (BPF), Hagrama Mohilary has made it clear that his party will field its own candidates in Kokrajhar and Mangaldai Lok Sabha constituencies in the forthcoming election. Talking to reporters in Kokrajhar on Monday, Mohilary said the alliance with the BJP and AGP would continue but the BPF would not leave Kokrajhar and Mangaldai seats to its alliance. He also said there had been no pre-poll understanding over the sharing of seats for these two constituencies.

State BJP president Ranjit Kr. Dass had recently declared that the BJP would field its own candidates in Kokrajhar and Mangaldai. To this Mohilary said, “BPF will support the candidates of BJP and AGP across the State but will field its own candidates in these two constituencies.”
