BPF will regain Kokrajhar seat this time: MLA Rabiram Narzary

Kokrajhar: The BPF workers’ meet, which was organized jointly by Kokrajhar District Committee, BPF, Youth BPF central committee, Bodoland Students’ Union, central committee and Kokrajhar District Committee of BSU, was held at the Dotma DSA playground in Kokrajhar on Saturday.

As many as 10 All BTC Bodoland Minority Students’ Union (ABMSU) anchalik-level leaders and members officially joined the BPF at the BPF workers’ meet at Dotma in Kokrajhar. The new members were warmly welcomed with Bodo traditional Aronai by Rabiram Narzary, MLA of 29-West Kokrajhar constituency, EM Rajib Brahma, former EM of BTC, Derhasat Basumatary and other dignitaries.

Talking to reporters, Rabiram Narzary, who is also the vice-president of the BPF, said that the chief of the BTC, Hagrama Mohilary was the guardian of the party and under his leadership the people of BTC had witnessed all-round development in every sector in the BTC region.

He said, “Our party has been gearing up for the upcoming election by organizing workers’ meet in different locations to make the party base stronger.” Narzary said on February 10, 2003, the Bodo Liberation Tigers, the Assam Government and the Union Government signed the accord and BLT deposited all arms and ammunition to the government. Sitting MP Naba Kumar Sarania has been making false allegation against the BPF, he said.

Narzary said that this time Naba Sarania would not get votes as people had come to know that Sarania was not the right candidate for doing all-round development activities in Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituency. He expressed confidence that BPF candidate Pramila Rani Brahma would win. He also said the BPF would regain the Kokrajhar seat by a huge margin.
