Brisk and peaceful polling in the nearby assembly segments Doomdooma and Sadiya

DOOMDOOMA: The 125 Doomdooma and 126 Sadiya LACs, which are two nearby assembly segments of 14 Lakhimpur Parliamentary Constituency, witnessed brisk and peaceful polling right from the morning and recorded 65.2 and 69.5 percentage of polling respectively till the end of voting at 5 pm.

Unlike previous years, people came out for casting their votes quite early in the morning to avoid rush. However, due to disorder in EVM machines, polling was delayed in three polling stations namely, 80 Hindi LP, 71 Rammohan Pathshala and 67 Doomdooma Bangiya Vidyalaya. Similarly, voting was delayed in 209 Saru Mechai, 222 Saru Maithong and 150 Talap Hindi School under 126 Sadiya LAC due to disorder witnessed in EVM machines in those polling stations.
