Bronze statue of Anjan Dutta to be unveiled

JOYSAGAR, Feb 17: Preparations are going on in full swing by the Anjan Dutta Foundation, Assam headed by Dutta’s daughter and young Congress leader Ankita Dutta to set up a full-size bronze statue of former Transport Minister and APCC president resident late Anjan Dutta at Amguri in Sivasagar district. Renowned sculpture Dilip Sarma is working hard to complete the statue by June 16 as on that day the statue is scheduled to be unveiled. Dutta was passed away on June 16 last year and on his first death anniversary the statue will be formally unveiled at Rajiv Bhawan in Gaurisagar where the late leader was cremated a year ago. A park in memory of Dutta will also be opened there.
