BSF celebrates Children’s Day in Silchar

Silchar: On the occasion of birth anniversary of late Prime Minister Pt Jawaharlal Nehru, 07 Bn BSF, Mizoram and Cachar Frontier under the leadership of Dr K C Mahali, IPS, IG Frontier celebrated Children’s Day with great enthusiasm and gaiety.

To make the event memorable, a visit of school children from various schools to Malegarh War Memorial was organized in bordering town of Karimganj with the help of civil administration and Memorial trustees. During the event, debate and singing competitions were also organized. More than 150 students were present at the programme.

The winners were given away prizes. A similar programme was also organized at Ankur Play School, Masimpur to celebrate this great occasion under the aegis of Vijaya Mahali, president BWWA, Mizoram and Cachar frontier in which children took an active participation. Sweetmeats were also distributed among the children.
