BTC Information and PR Department holds interactive session

GORESWAR: An interactive session was arranged by the BTC Information and Public Relations Department at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s office of Mushalpur recently. Additional Principal Secretary Jolly Das Brahma, Sanjib Kumar Gogoi, DC of Baksa, KS Dhatwalia, NEZ, Ministry of I&B, Ansumwi Khungur Boro, EM of BTC, Hemchandra Pathak, DIPRO, Baksa, and senior journalist Naba Thakuria attended the programme along with the more than 50 local journalists of Baksa district.

Naba Thakuria, secretary of Journalist Forum of Assam, spoke about the role of media during the technical session of the programme. District Agriculture Officer Kailash Deka explained all the agricultural schemes like tractor and power tiller distribution, RKVY, SOPD project, RADF, HMNS and soil health card schemes for poor farmers.

BM Roy, Executive Engineer of Baksa Division of Public Health Engineering Department, explained the schemes of sanitation and water supply, including Total Sanitation Campaign (TSC), Nirmal Bharat Abhijan (NBA), Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin), SBM (G), PWSS and MINI PWSS.

Dr Abhijit Basu, Joint Director of Health Department, spoke on health schemes and services to the people of Baksa district. He also focused on 17 health schemes, including Atal Amrit Yojana and Ayushman cards. Bhupen Das, District Programme Officer of Baksa Education Department, spoke about the benefits of Kasturaba Gandhi Vidyalaya, Bidyarambha Utsav and Gunotsav. He also touched on the benefits of mid-day meal in schools. The top officials of Baksa district answered all the queries of journalists.
