Budha Bhanu Saraswati College concludes silver jubilee celebrations in Shillong

SHLLONG: The Budha Bhanu Saraswati College (BBS) College on Tuesday concluded their 25 years silver jubilee celebration at a function held at U Soso Tham Auditorium.

Addressing the function, attended by the students and past students of the college including faculty members and teachers, Meghalaya Health Minister AL Hek said, “The college has in the past 25 years have produced many great personality who are presently sitting in high position in society today.” The Minister also lauded the organizing committee of the college for starting the function on time.

Stating that education is an asset for the students, he said, “It not only the things the students learn in their respective class rooms which can be considered as education as even the thing the students learn outside their college of university can be considered as education.”

Hek also said that through education many scholars, scientists, doctors etc.., are being produced however through education there is also a need to produce a great human being.

The Minister also lauded the achievement of the college for being able to render its service by imparting education to the students of the state for the past 25 years.

“When the college was first started there were only 94 students but now there are thousands of students studying in this college and this is all down to the hard work and dedication of the teachers and faculty members of the college,” Hek said.
