BUKSS win Inter Media Futsal title

GUWAHATI, Feb 26: Barak Upatyaka Krira Sangbadik Sangstha (BUKSS) lifted Gilbertson Sangma and Debashish Roy Inter Media Futsal Championship title defeating DY365 in a well contested fil by 2-0 at Tarun Ram Phukan indoor stadium here today. Rajesh Das and Sonu Choudhury scored one goal each in the game. Altogether 16 teams took part in the 4-day meet which was organized by the Assam Electronic Media Sports Jourlists Association. Champion team received cash award of Rs 5000 and the runners up team collected a purse of Rs 3000. Kishore Talukdar of DY365 adjudged the best player of meet award while Sonu Choudhury of BUKSS received the best player award of the fil. On the other hand Hemanta Kalita of Mangaldoi team collected the best goalkeeper award of the tourment.  The closing function was attended by Speaker of Assam Assembly Hitendra th Goswami as a chief guest along with Sports Minister ba Kumar Doley, two great footballers of yesteryear Gilbertson Sangma and Debasish Roy respectively, Sports Director Pabitra Ram Khound, Treasurer of Assam Olympic Association Raj Kakoti and former minister Biraj Sarma.
