Businessman receives extortion letter

DEMOW, Feb23: In Sivasagar district under Demow Police Station, an extortion demand of Rs 10 lakh was allegedly made to a businessman of Rajmai Chariali by NSCA. According to sources, on Wednesday night at around 7pm, an unknown youth gave an extortion letter to Sanjay Agrawalla, a businessman of Rajmai as well as owner of Puja Drug House. After giving the extortion letter to the businessman, the youth said that the boss of NSCA had given this letter.  The businessman followed the youth up to the Rajmai Tea Estate Machine Room but the youth fled from that area with another youth in a bike, said a source.  Regarding this incident, Sanjay Agrawalla informed to Demow Police Station on Wednesday night. An FIR was lodged by Sanjay in Demow Police Station on Thursday morning. The Sivasagar Police are investigating and providing full security in the area.
