Campaign against tobacco

Dibrugarh, June 1: National Service Scheme (NSS) Digboi College Units conducted a campaign against tobacco use on the occasion of World Tobacco Day here at Digboi College among the students of the college. The programme started with the purpose of the meeting delivered by Rajib Rudra Tariang, Programme Officer and Asst. Professor, of Digboi College. Tariang in his deliberation, spoke on various tips to overcome such problems by strengthening their will power. Earlier, principal of the college Dr. Dip Saikia, gave the inaugural speech. Dr. Dip Saikia also urged the students to overcome the problem in the society. Two NSS volunteers Amit Biswakarma and Dipanjol Borgohain of Digboi College acted as resources persons among the audience. Biswakarma highlighted about the ill effects of tobacco addiction. The students vowed to fight against the use of tobacco in the society.
