Capacity building training at Mudra Institute of Communications (MICA) at Itanagar

ITANAGAR, July 27: A four-day capacity building training programme on communication and information management for the officers of the state Department of Information and Public Relations began at the Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad (MICA) on Thursday.

The inaugural session was attended among others by Kartikeya Sarabhai, founder and director of the Centre for Environment Education (CEE). He also happens to be the son of Vikram Sarabhai, widely regarded as the father of Indian space programme.

The visiting officers highlighted the various flagship programmes initiated by the Pema Khandu government, while also presenting the challenges faced by them in the process of communicating information to the people in the last mile.

The four-day training programme will cover important subjects like, development communication, strategic communication, crisis communication, content development, research and strategies, media management, team and time management, etc.

Besides attending workshops on creative writing, the officers from Arunachal will also be interacting with the Gujarat government officers during their stay, a departmental communiqué informed here today.
