CAPF contingents to perform mass demonstration on Intertiol Yoga Day

Guwahati, June 19: Keeping in view of the ensuing Intertiol Yoga Day on June 21 Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has been desigted as nodal force for participation of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) for the function in Guwahati in coordition with state administration.  The contingent comprising of 350 personnel from SSB, 225 each from BSF and CRPF, 100 from ITBP and 50 each from RPF and CISF respectively. Intensive practice has already commenced from June16 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Sarusajai, Sports Complex, Guwahati. In order to create awareness and mobilise people’s participation, a rally was organised on June 19 at Nehru Stadium. The deputy commissioner of Kamrup Metropolitan flagged off the rally. This was stated in a press release.
