Car loses control, hits school van

JORHAT, May 21: A woman, who was learning driving, pressed the accelerator of the Alto car she was driving instead of the brake. As a result, the car lost control and hit a parked Maruti van waiting to take back school students. The Alto car then hit a Pulsar bike that belonged to the parent of a school student who had gone to pick up his daughter from school after parking his bike in front of a shop at the point near the Don Bosco School, Lichubari on Monday afternoon. Two women were inside the Alto car bearing registration no. AS-03 W 2321. Police picked both of them and seized the car and bike that was beyond recognition.
