Cattle seized

SHILLONG, April 22: The Border Security Force (BSF) in its special drive is continuing to make seizures of cattle in bordering area of Meghalaya while being smuggled into Bangladesh. According to BSF authorities, on April 21 its troops deployed at Kalaichar and Sibbari under South West Garo Hills and South Garo Hills districts respectively seized 25 cattle. However, the BSF could not b the smugglers. Similarly, in another incident, troops of BSF deployed at Muktapur under West Jaintia Hills district of Meghalaya also seized 14 cattle. So far during the year 2016, the BSF in Meghalaya frontier seized 520 cattle while being smuggled to Bangladesh.
