Ceasefire With Naga Groups Extended

New Delhi: The ceasefire between the Government of India and the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Neopao Konyak/Kitovi) (NSCN/NK) and National Socialist Council of Nagaland/Reformation (NSCN/R) has been extended for one year with effect from April 28. This agreement was signed by Satyendra Garg, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs and Jack Jimomi, supervisor, GPRN/NSCN on behalf of NSCN/NK and by Dr Amento Chishi, supervisor and Toshi Longkumer, secretary on behalf of NSCN/R on April 15. The National Socialist Council of Nagaland/K-Khango has also re-entered into a fresh ceasefire agreement with the Government of India with effect from April 15 for a period of one year, stated a release.
