Centenary celebration of Indian Air Force Marshal Arjan Singh DFC with half-marathon called ‘Centenary Run’ in Tezpur

Tezpur: In order to commemorate and mark the centenary celebration of Marshal of the Indian Air Force, Arjan Singh DFC, Air Force Station Tezpur had organized a half-marathon of 21-km called ‘Centenary Run’ on April 14 on the eve of the birth centenary of the Late Marshal of the IAF.

The race was flagged off by Air Cmde Tejpal Singh, VM, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Tezpur. A total of more than 200 air warriors and 80 families and children of the station participated enthusiastically in the Centenary Run.

The run was conducted to propagate the accomplishments and to pay rich tribute to the legendary Marshal of the IAF amongst all Air Force personnel. Air Cmde Tejpal Singh, VM, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Tezpur, motivated the air warriors to inculcate camaraderie and sportsmanship attributes. He also emphasized the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle and encouraged the air warriors towards fitness and sports activities. All the air warriors took a pledge to leave no stone unturned to carry on the legacy of the Marshal of the Indian Air Force, Arjan Singh.
