Central team assesses rural development schemes

GUWAHATI, Feb 16: A delegation of Common Review Mission, a monitoring mechanism under Ministry of Rural Development comprising academicians, practitioners, retired civil servants and MoRD officials visited Assam with a four-day programme. In this connection an introductory meeting was held today in the conference hall of Commissioner, P & RD, Assam covering all the wings of P &RD Assam like ASRLM, SIPRD and also PWD (Roads) for PMGSY.  

The delegation took stalk of the various schemes of MoRD like MGNREGA, PMAY-G, NSAP, DAY-NRLM and SIRD along with PMGSY, the implementing agency of which is PWD (R).

All the wings of P & RD and PWD (R) have made presentation on the implementations of various schemes.

Dr JB Ekka, Commissioner, P&RD, AMM Zakir, Director, SIPRD, ndita Hazarika, MD, ASRLM along with other officials were present in the review meeting.

Followed by the meeting the team will also visit few  districts during their four day visit to review the implementation of the works in the field.
