Chamling slammed Golay and Pant at Janta Mela

Guwahati: The Chief Minister of Sikkim Pawan Chamling has slammed SKM President P.S. Golay and former SDF functionary B.S. Pant while addressing the Janta Mela programme in Temi-Namphing constituency at Mangley.

The Janta Mela has been organized for the beneficiaries of Barfung, Temi-Namphing, Yangnag-Rangang and Tumin-Lingee constituencies.

The Chief Minister while addressing the gathering said that great misfortune has struck Pant who quit the ruling front to join the goon party.

Chamling further added that the MLA of Temi-Namphing constituency is the senior leader of their party and that he had also consulted with Minister G.M. Gurung regarding to whom the ticket should be given from Temi-Namphing constituency. However, Gurung recommended that the ticket should be given to B.S. Pant but unfortunately Pant has joined the goon party. "After joining the goon party, Pant is talking on communal and religious lines because he does not know anything beyond communal talks," said Chamling.

The Chief Minister also alleged that Pant is making fake housing scheme orders and distributing documents to the people in the constituency before the 2014 elections. He also alleged that communal forces are behind the SKM party led by a person convicted by the court in a corruption case.

Chamling said that people need a good government and that the people will face hardship if the government is formed by the goon party. It is the responsibility of the people to choose the right government. "People should be alert before the election as only three months left for the election. It is the responsibility of the people to protect the peace and security that has been provided by us," Chamling said.

Chamling reiterated that being the Home Minister as well he has all the details of the misdeeds of SKM leaders and workers and said that he had taken a promise to keep the SDF party free from his family.

The Chief Minister also directed the authorities to submit the name of the left-out youths for the 'one family, one job' scheme by February 5. He has also handed over the land allotment orders to the 192 workers of Temi tea garden.

The workers of Temi tea garden has been provided their rights as this has been their long pending demand and that the Chamling government has removed the problems of the workers by providing their rights as the area falls under the Forest area.
