Cheat India: Teaser Shows Emraan Hashmi In A Different Avtar Unearthing Malpractices In The Education System

Emraan Hashmi who was last seen in Baadshaho is back with a bang it seems. The actor will be seen in Cheat India and it highlights the rampant malpractices in the most lucrative Indian education sector. The teaser of the movie starts with Emraan Hashmi introducing his character Rakesh Singh who believes in selling seats and allowing other people to write exam papers in lieu of money. “There is only one rule in the game: Nakal Mein Hi Akal Ha,” Hashmi tells students and parents and advocates how there should be a new practice (corrupt) of entrance examinations.
Earlier this week, the makers had released the official poster as well. The same showcased Emraan's face stitched with exam admission card and Indian currency notes. In an interview when asked about the movie, Emraan had said that the script and dialogues of the movie as per him are extremely powerful. He also said how this script is among the engaging and riveting stories he heard in a while. He also said how he is excited about the movie and how his role is a landmark movie in his filmography. The director Soumik had said how students can totally relate to Cheat India and said the movie is for every Indian student who is under pressure to excel in studies.
Talking about the movie, it is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Tanuj Garg, Atul Kasbekar and Parveen Hashmi. Apart from Emraan Hashmi, the movie also stars Shreya Dhanwanthary in lead role. The movie is written and directed by Soumik Sen and is slated to release on January 25, 2019. The movie will face competition from Super 30 and Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.
