Chimpu-Jully-Papu lah road to get facelift soon

Itagar, Dec 7: The Chimpu-Jully-Papu lah would soon get a facelift with as many as 8-10 culverts and the road would also be widened for free flow of traffic during all times. This was informed by parliamentary secretary UD and Housing who along with PWD chief engineer (Western zone) Katung Wage, executive engineer (Capital division B) Ta Nikam and PRI leaders inspected the stretch of the road on Tuesday.

As there is no alterte road from Itagar-harlagun which could be used during emergency or when the constriction of four lane roads would start, the Chimpu-Jully-Papu llah road would serve as a boon for the denizens of state capital, said Kaso while interacting with the locals during his inspection. Stating that the government would try its best to complete the work by March next year, Kaso added that with the construction work starting on the all-important road, the government is also planning to aquire Centre’s approval on the road and sanction on construction of NH 415.

“There are problems at some locations and a few culverts needs to be constructed while a few land encroachers would have to be evicted,” the parliamentary secretary informed seeking cooperation from the locals. Kaso on the occasion also stated that the sector roads of D Sector, SRPL, Jully, Chimpu, ESS sector also need to be repaired and accordingly he had directed the officer concerned to start the work immediately.
