 From A Corrrespondent

ITAGAR, Feb 24: A Chinese equipment comprising a partly burnt white box, fastened to a plastic cloth like material with ropes and inscribed with Chinese letters - was found in Kamle district of Aruchal Pradesh, about 100-km from the border.
The object was found on February 21 could create ripples in the bilateral Indo-Chi relations according to some political observers. Significantly, has been sweet and sour post-1962 Chinese aggression. The object was stuck to a tree and it is felt that it might have descended from the sky with either a parachute or balloon attached to it, Kamle SP John Pada informed on Saturday.
Pada, along with range forest officer Bunty Tao and few officers, had trekked for five-hours to Repari village under Raga circle between Ziro and Daporijo, located at a height of height 3642-feet amidst forest and hills without any road connectivity, to retrieve the object.
Pada had received the information from wood cutters who go to deep forests as a matter of routine.
The box had opened up after an impact with the tree and a black device inside was visible. The lower compartment probably stored a battery to power the device during flight. The powdered substance which spilled over was connected to wires, he said, adding it could be possibly metrological equipment.
Such metrological instruments are usually blown up to operate within a restricted air zone but none has the capacity to tame or control ture for which wind wave might have flown and landed it in Aruchal that has a 1,080-km border with Chi.
When asked, Aruchal Home Minister Kumar Waii pleaded ignorance saying that this has nothing to do with Indo-Chi relations.
Director General of Police Sandeep Goel assured to send the object to forensic laboratory to ascertain its status.
