CISF jawans allegedly misbehave with jourlists in Duliajan

DULIAJAN, September 30: Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Duliajan unit allegedly misbehaved with four jourlists on Tuesday while the latter were covering the news  of AJYCP  Dibrugarh District committee’s demonstration in front of OIL’s registered office and field head quarter, Duliajan.

According to sources, the members of Dibrugarh District committee of AJYCP staged a protest against auction of six oil-gas field sectors and disinvestment of 10 per cent OIL’s share to corporate sectors by the Centre.  When jourlist went to cover the news, two CISF personnel on duty allegedly misbehaved with four jourlists -  Jayata Bhuyan,  Madhumoni Saikia, Surajit Gogoi and Arindam Gogoi.

When this news spread, members of various organization like  Sadou Asom Mottock Yuba Chatra Sanmilan, AASU, ATASU, Gorkha Students’ Union, Chatra Mukti Sangram Samity, KMSS Duliajan Regiol Committee staged a sit-in in protest against the CISF personnel’s alleged misbehaviour. To take stock of the situation, Additiol Superintendent of Police, Circle Officer Moon Gogoi and OC of Duliajan police station rushed to the demonstration site.
