Citizens Express Disgust Over Obscene Photo On WhatsApp

MANGALDAI: An obscene photo that has been circulated in three WhatsApp groups has put all members to shame and also raised the finger of doubt on the moral values of a senior lady who is also a mother of a physician and a businessman.

According to information, an octogenarian housewife of a so-called social activist-cum-contractor in Mangaldai town, had posted the obscene photo of a girl initially on a WhatsApp group formed by a religious organization few days back. To have some sadistic pleasure and fun, she again posted it on another WhatsApp group formed by a section of women writers and a group formed by a section of members of a literary organization.

The members of these three WhatsApp groups, mostly senior and prominent citizens, women activists and literary persons, were reportedly stunned, shocked and ashamed to find this obscene photograph on their mobile phones and most of the members have already left the groups.

Meanwhile, a section of women activists here have taken up the matter seriously and are likely to convene a meeting in this regard. The conscious circles here in the district headquarters town have demanded the district administration and police to take up legal action on this erring lady who is reportedly trying to pollute the social environment here.

Significantly, the lady in question has reportedly been citing a lame excuse that her cellular phone might have been hacked by some evil minds. However, information technology experts have ruled out the possibility of hacking of cellular phones and indicated that the senior lady in question was involved in it.
